Acceptable Use Policy

tonvio is an AI text-to-speech service. This policy defines what may not be created with it. It applies to all audio generated through tonvio — with catalog voices, cloned voices and multi-voice projects — and is part of our Terms of Service. By using tonvio you agree to it.

Prohibited content

You may not use tonvio to create or distribute:

  • sexually explicit, pornographic or sexually suggestive (NSFW) content of any kind, including erotic role-play and adult chat material;
  • any content that sexualizes, exploits or harms minors — zero tolerance; where required, such content is reported to the authorities;
  • content that is illegal or promotes illegal activity: drugs, weapons, human trafficking, financial fraud and similar;
  • harassment, threats, hate speech, or calls to violence against any person or group;
  • defamatory or knowingly false statements about real people or organizations;
  • instructions or materials intended to cause serious harm to people or infrastructure.

Impersonation and voice cloning

Voice cloning is allowed only for your own voice or with the documented consent of the voice's owner. It is prohibited to:

  • clone or imitate the voice of a real person — including public figures — without their explicit, documented permission;
  • create audio that presents an AI voice as an authentic recording of a real person (voice deepfakes);
  • attribute fabricated statements to real people or organizations.

Where the law or a platform requires it, you must disclose that the audio is AI-generated.

Fraud and deception

It is prohibited to use generated audio for:

  • scam or spam calls, robocalls, voice phishing (vishing) and any telemarketing that violates applicable law;
  • fake reviews, fake testimonials or other deceptive commercial practices;
  • disinformation campaigns and content designed to manipulate elections or public opinion through deception.

Intellectual property

Only voice texts you have the right to use — your own or properly licensed. The voices and underlying models remain the property of tonvio and its technology providers: extracting, cloning or reselling them outside the generated audio is prohibited.

Platform integrity

Do not overload the service, bypass limits or billing, resell access, probe or disrupt our infrastructure, or use automated tools to abuse free allowances.

Enforcement

We review reports and may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts that violate this policy. In cases of deliberate abuse the account is terminated without refunding the unused balance, as set out in the Terms of Service and Refund Policy. Illegal content is reported to law-enforcement authorities where required.

Reporting violations

If you encounter audio created with tonvio that violates this policy, report it to [email protected] — we investigate every report.
